Custom Muay Thai Shorts Manufacturing
Fabrion is a factory-direct Muay Thai shorts manufacturer in Thailand producing custom Muay Thai shorts for brands, fight gyms, teams, clubs, and private label orders.
Manufacturing scope and product overview
Muay Thai shorts require a different production approach than standard athletic shorts because the waistband, leg shape, side slits, fabric selection, and branding details all affect how the final short looks, fits, and performs.
Traditional Muay Thai shorts and more modern versions also require different construction choices, especially when your order includes embroidery, patches, lining, or full-print designs. Fabrion manufactures a wide range of custom Muay Thai shorts, from classic Thai styles to more modern designs.
Muay Thai shorts models, fit, and cut options
Custom Muay Thai shorts can be produced in different styles depending on the intended look, fit, and use. Common options include classic Thai shorts with a traditional wide leg opening and taller waistband, retro designs with a shorter cut, slim fit styles with a narrower leg profile, and hybrid models that combine Thai design elements with a more modern cut.
Fit and cut options can also be adjusted through waistband height, rise, leg width, outside length, and side slits. Some brands want a more authentic Thai fit with a wider leg opening and higher side slits for better movement, while others prefer a lower waistband and a narrower leg opening.

Waistband construction options
The waistband is one of the main construction features that defines how Muay Thai shorts look and feel. Common options include the traditional tall Thai waistband, usually made with 6 to 8 rows of elastic for a fuller and more authentic appearance, as well as lower waistband versions with 4 rows of elastic for brands that want a cleaner and more modern shape. Waistband height, elastic strength, row count, and overall finish all affect the final fit, visual identity, and comfort of the shorts.
All waistband details such as internal drawcords, waistband labels, embroidery placement, front logo panels, and colors can be customized. These details should be confirmed before sampling so the waistband can be approved clearly before bulk production.
Fabrics and lining options
Muay Thai shorts can be produced in different fabrics depending on the intended look, weight, and finish. Common fabrics include premium satin for traditional Thai shorts, nylon for a lighter and quicker-drying feel, and polyester-based fabrics for full sublimation designs. Fabric selection affects not only the visual finish of the shorts, but also how they drape, move, and hold embroidery, patches, and printed artwork.
Lining can be added depending on the construction and decoration requirements of the shorts. It can also be customized with its own embroidered design. Custom lining options require their own MOQ depending on the material and design. Surplus lining can be kept in stock for repeat orders.
Decoration, lettering, and print options
Muay Thai shorts can be produced with different branding, lettering, and print options depending on the fabric, design, and short style. Common options include direct embroidery, embroidered patches, woven patches, laser-cut patches, laser-cut lettering, and full sublimation printing. Direct embroidery, embroidered patches, and woven patches have their own MOQ and setup cost depending on the design and application.
These branding and print options should be defined early because they affect both fabric selection and final construction. Embroidery, patches, lettering, and sublimation need to be matched correctly to the short style before sampling and bulk production.

Sampling and MOQ
Sampling is available before bulk production so fit, waistband construction, fabric, decoration, and overall finish can be reviewed. We can send Fabrion sample shorts that we keep in stock, or produce custom samples in your own design. Custom samples are more expensive than standard samples because they require individual development and setup.
If you want custom embroidery on the sample, only setup costs are involved and no MOQ is required for sample development.
MOQ depends on the short style and production method. For most custom Muay Thai shorts, the MOQ is 10 pieces per design. For printed Muay Thai shorts, the MOQ is 35 pieces per design. Patches, lining, labels, and special decoration details can also carry separate supplier MOQs, which may be higher than the MOQ for the shorts. Surplus patches, lining, labels, and packaging can be kept in stock for repeat orders.
Private label and packaging
At Fabrion, we offer private label options for brands that want a more complete retail or wholesale product. Common additions include size labels, care labels, hangtags, and branded packaging depending on the order requirements. Private label details should be confirmed early because they can affect both production planning and lead time.
Packaging can also be customized depending on how the shorts will be sold, packed, or distributed. Common options include standard individual packing, branded polybags, barcode stickers, and other packing requirements. Private label and custom packaging involve their own MOQ, and some items may also require setup costs. Where possible, extra labels and packaging can be kept in stock for repeat orders.

Production requirements
Before sampling or bulk production can begin, we need clear information about the short style, fit direction, fabric, waistband type, artwork, branding details, and required quantity. Reference shorts, design files, logos, embroidery details, patch specifications, size charts, and packaging requirements all help make the development process faster and more accurate. If you already have a tech pack, we can work from that, but it is not required.
The clearer the production requirements are from the start, the easier it is to quote correctly, develop the sample properly, and avoid delays during approval and bulk production. If some details are not finalized yet, we can help define them during the sampling stage.
Quality control and production consistency
Quality control is important because small differences in waistband construction, panel shape, side slits, embroidery placement, and overall finishing can affect both appearance and consistency. During production, key points such as fabric quality, color consistency, construction accuracy, decoration placement, and final measurements are checked carefully so the approved sample and bulk order stay aligned.
Production consistency becomes even more important on repeat orders or when the shorts include custom patches, lining, private label details, or more complex embroidery. Keeping the approved sample, artwork, size specs, and production details on record helps make future orders more consistent and reduces the risk of avoidable variations between batches.

Production timelines
Production time depends on the short style, order quantity, decoration details, and overall order setup. Standard bulk production is generally completed within around 15 days after sample approval, but final lead time depends on the exact order requirements. Orders with custom patches, private label components, special packaging, or other custom developments may require additional time.
Sampling time also depends on the complexity of the shorts and the type of sample required. Standard sample shorts can usually be sent faster, while custom samples with your own design, embroidery, patches, or other special details take longer because they require individual development and setup.
Export packaging and logistics
Packaging can be customized depending on the order requirements and how the shorts will be packed, stored, sold, or distributed. Common options include standard bulk packing, branded polybags, barcode stickers, size stickers, carton marking, and other packaging details. Packaging details should be confirmed early because some packaging components have their own production time and can affect the final delivery schedule.
We can prepare orders according to the required packing structure and shipment setup. Final logistics planning depends on the order volume, destination, carton requirements, and whether the shorts are being shipped as standard bulk goods or as a more complete private label product.
